Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on mawuucravings.com, what each one does, and how to control them. We keep the list short on purpose.
The short version. Analytics cookies stay off until you allow them. We use no advertising cookies and no social media pixels. You can change your choice at any time using the Consent Preferences link at the bottom of every page.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's session storage and tracking pixels in emails, do related jobs. “First-party” cookies are set by our site; “third-party” cookies are set by another company's service running on our site.
What we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
| What | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| TERMLY_COOKIE_CONSENT | Termly | Remembers which cookies you've allowed, so we don't ask on every page. Kept in your browser's local storage for up to 12 months |
| csrf_token | Termly | A security cookie set by our consent tool to protect your choices from being tampered with. Expires after about a month |
| Security | Cloudflare | May be set to protect the site from bots and attacks |
Analytics (off until you allow them)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another so we can count visits | About 13 months |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your visits and sessions | About 13 months |
We use Google Analytics only to understand how our site is used, never for advertising.
Session storage
| Name | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| mawuu_ref | Keeps the tag from the link you used, such as ?ref=x, so that if you join our waitlist we know which link brought you | When you close the tab |
Pages run by other companies
Checkout is hosted by Stripe and our quiz by Fillout. When you use them, those companies may set their own cookies, which their own policies govern.
Our emails may contain a tiny image or tracked link that tells us whether an email was opened or clicked. Most email apps let you block images to prevent this.
Your choices
- On our site: use the Consent Preferences link to allow or refuse analytics cookies at any time.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your information.
- In your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change cookies, we'll update this page and the date above. For how we handle personal information more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
